Sherry Hensley

I taught a glass mosaic class there last Fall for the Teacher Professional Development day. I have recently retired from Greene County Schools and I am certified K-12 with my last 19 years teaching high school art at North Greene High School. I graduated ETSU in 1976 with a degree in Art Education and received my Master's in Art Education in 1999.  I studied at Lincoln Memorial University and received my EdS degree in 2015. I was the Education Curator at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga for 8 years and also taught evening classes in photography at Chattanooga State. I am on the Board of Directors of the Greeneville Arts Council, and teach summer art camp for children at Tusculum University.  I was appointed a Commissioner by the City of Greeneville to serve on the Greeneville Municipal Airport Authority, for which I am the secretary. I have a private pilots' license and own a 1946 J-3 Piper Cub. I enjoy flying, making art, teaching art, and spending time at my studio with my dog, Chloe.

WCA is re-branding our look and our school, something new out of the old while moving into the future.

Carrying on Appalachian traditions while introducing new venues in the art world.
