About the class
This class will give students an introduction to at least six examples of techniques used to paint rocks in watercolor as well as practicing brushstrokes and laying down a wash. There will be a 30 minute lunch break so students should bring lunch and a drink, Students need to bring the following supplies: set of watercolor blocks (at least 12 colors), a number 2 pencil, number 2 or 3 round watercolor brush, number 4 round watercolor brush, number 8 round watercolor brush, 1/2 inch watercolor wash brush, pad of watercolor paper 6x8 or larger, few sheets of graphite (carbon) paper, 2 waterproof, permanent pens sizes .1 and .3 (Micron is a good brand), roll of blue painter's tape (1/4 inch to 1 inch wide). Supplies can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Buy quality but don't break the bank,
