Your instructor is Heather Jones. Heather is a multi-media artist with over 40 years of teaching high school art. Heather works out of her studio in Chuckey, TN and likes to share he passion for both 2D and 3D art.

About the class

Due to the rainy weather, we had to reschedule. The new date will be rain or shine! Students will be going outside on the WCA campus to create landscapes in charcoal.  Composition will be stressed and how to limit your field of vision using a view finder.  Emphasis will be placed on the use of values, gradation and strong contrast using charcoal. For those of you who took the charcoal class at the $5 day, this would be a great follow-up class!  You may want to bring some kind of seating if you do not want to sit on the ground, bug spray, water, hat and sunglasses.  In case of inclement weather, please bring some printed landscape pictures with you.
