Your instructor is Vanessa James. Vanessa is an avid crafter who loves sewing, crocheting and macrame. As an adult she revisited her love of macrame and created a business from it in honor of her beloved grandmother who taught her the skill.

About the class
In this introductory class, students will be taught the basics of macrame including the three types of macrame knots and the differences in materials and how it impacts your project. Students will create a beautiful plant hanger to take home. Students need to bring the following materials: 1 roll of Bonnie Craft cord 4 mm, 100 yards - color of your choice, 1 package (or 4 individual) of 20-22 mm wooden beads with 4-6 mm hole - color or finish of your choice, (1) 1" or 1 1/2" metal ring - color or finish of your choice, scissors, measuring tape (cloth or sewing) or a plastic ruler. All supplies can be purchased at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or on Amazon.
